What does the role involve?

Language Insight is looking for enthusiastic and passionate translators native in German to join our in-house team on a full-time basis. The role is ideally based in Preston but we will also consider remote applications. However, due to the nature of the role, we are only able to take into consideration candidates who already live in the UK and have no visa requirements, or candidates who have the right to live and work in Spain.



Job Purpose:
As Junior Translator, your main role will be to support Language Insight’s Translation teams and your colleagues in your language team with translations, reviews, Quality Assurance checks and other language-related tasks, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring deadlines are met. Language Insight’s core client base requires work in the Medical field. Training will be given and you will have the opportunity to learn from your colleagues as well as a large network of freelancers with years of experience in the field.



Tasks/Duties include:

  • Translations from English into your native language, with a focus on healthcare topics.
  • Running quality assurance checks on your own work and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.
  • Incorporating feedback provided by senior colleagues or freelancers into your work.
  • Carrying out various other language-related tasks as required, with training, such as implementing edits and client feedback, understanding and carrying out overlays and link checking, running quality checks on files transcribed by freelancers, finalising transcriptions and translations in your and other languages.
  • Maintaining your own records and admin, where needed.

What does the role involve?

Language Insight is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager with at least 1 year of experience in Translation Industry. The right candidate must be proactive, display a professional attitude, have a willingness to learn, and put clients first.

The position can be hybrid (2 days in one of our offices, London or Preston and 3 from home) and the working hours for this role will be 0900 – 1730 Monday to Friday. Please note that we will not provide laptops/desktop PC to work from home but you will be able to work with your own equipment using our encrypted network.

The Project Manager will support our Qualitative Market Research clients with a variety of language services and will be responsible for handling multiple projects throughout their life cycle. This role will help ensure Language Insight remains one of the market leaders in the translation industry, enabling us to support clients across the world.

As part of the Project Manager role, you will:

  • Manage the full-cycle of language services for our Market Research clients, from quoting to delivering, ensuring that quality control measures have been adhered to.
  • Develop your knowledge of Qualitative services (Transcription, Content Analysis and Interpreting).
  • Support both existing and new clients with their requests, advising them on the most efficient solutions for their specific requirements.
  • Learn how to use one of the leading Translation Management System in the industry
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and freelancers.
  • Work closely with the team to offer support and share ideas on best practices.
  • Manage and distribute the workload among internal and external resources appropriately.
  • Use Translation Management Software and CAT tools
  • Ensure projects maintain a high level of quality and professional standards in line with our ISO 9001, 17100 and 27001 accreditations.
  • Ensure all admin is up to date at all times, and profit margins are healthy.
  • Work towards monthly, quarterly and yearly individual and team targets.

The Junior Software Engineer will support the Operations Team within the company, mainly helping with designing, developing, and maintaining new technology programs and software.


Salary starting from: £24K+per annum based on experience.

This role is remote-based in the UK, however, we do have offices in Preston and London if candidates would prefer to work at the office. Please note: right to work in the UK is required for this role and there will be no Visa sponsorship available.


What does the role involve?

Working closely with our Systems Architect, an ongoing AI-based software development project will be the primary initial focus of this role. As the company grows and the project matures, the role will evolve to encompass other tasks and projects. There will also be times when you will be required to take on other tech-related tasks to support your colleagues.


As part of this role, you will:

  • Set up, monitor and maintain servers for test and production environments (LINUX and Windows locally and AWS remote servers).
  • Carry out comprehensive software testing and reporting, making use of automation testing where needed.
  • Proactively suggest new ideas and features for existing software developments and potential future projects.
  • Plan development and testing sprints to ensure regular software release cycles are delivered on time.
