Quality Assurance Specialist

Language Insight is a fast-growing translation and language services provider. Our experienced teams work on projects covering a wide range of sectors, and are dedicated to delivering high-quality translation, transcription, interpreting and various other language solutions to clients all over the world.

After four consecutive years of sales growth and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2019, we are now looking to create a dedicated in-house Quality Assurance team to help support our clients across the Market Research, Legal, E-learning, Finance, and Consultancy sectors.

Language Insight is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist with an exceptional eye for detail and interest in languages. Whilst the candidate’s skills are paramount, the right candidate must also be proactive, display a professional attitude, have a willingness to learn, and put clients first.

The position will be based in one of our two UK offices (London or Preston). This is an exciting entry role for graduates who would like to start their careers in the translation industry.

Due to the nature of the role, only candidates with the right to work in the UK will be considered. The salary for this position starts from £17,500 per year. Training will be provided and the candidate will also gain an insight into the translation industry.

What does the role involve?

The role of a Quality Assurance Specialist is fundamental at Language Insight, as it is the final step before the deliverable goes to the client.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist you will:

• Use computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and QA tools to check all translated documents before delivery to the client;
• Ensure our client’s instructions and brief has been followed by linguists;
• Format all translated documents to mirror the original source document;
• Share feedback with the QA and Projects Teams;
• Ensure consistency across languages, making sure that changes are applied globally when needed;
• Explore computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools to improve efficiency;
• Maintain strong relationships with linguists and project managers;
• Juggle overlapping projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Perform other duties when required.
