Every year we chose a charity that aligns with Language Insight’s values and culture to be our Charity of the Year. We then focus our fundraising effort throughout that year to raise as much money and support as possible for our chosen charity so that they can continue the amazing work they do to for their great cause.
2021 - Cash for Kids
We are delighted to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2021 is Cash for Kids. Cash for Kids’ mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. In 2021 Covid-19 is still having a huge impact on our lives in the UK so this year we have decided that we want to support local families and children in poverty who may have suffered due to the effects of the pandemic.
Nikki Thompson, Charity Manager at Rock FM’s Cash For Kids has welcomed Language Insight as a charity partner and states “We are delighted to have gained the support of Language Insight so that we can continue to help the most vulnerable children in our community. We are really looking forward to working in partnership with the team and putting some fabulous fundraising plans in place.”
We hope that we can support Cash for Kids as much as possible and we will be sharing regular updates on our social media about our fundraising.
2020 - Mind
In 2020 we chose Mindto be our Charity of the Year. Mind is a charity that raises awareness for mental health & also campaigns to improve mental health services. We chose Mind as our Charity of the Year for 2020 as mental health is something that we take very seriously as a company. We try to support our staff as much as possible with their mental health and try to make our offices a fun & enjoyable place to work.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected many people’s mental health including our nurses, doctors, and other key workers who have worked hard to keep us all safe. We wanted to help Mind support those who are struggling with their mental health during this time which is another one of the many reasons why we chose them as our Charity of the Year. We are proud to have raised over £1750 for Mind throughout 2020 and we hope that they can continue the amazing work they do for mental health awareness.
