After months of having to be very secretive, on Tuesday 23rd April it was officially announced that Language Insight is a winner of The Queen’s Award For Enterprise For International Trade 2019!

As part of winning the award, Language Insight’s Managing Director and Operations Director were invited to attend The Queen’s Award winners’ royal reception last week at Buckingham Palace. Filled with excitement, they got dressed for the occasion and headed through the grand palace gates where they passed the Queen’s guards!

Language Insight’s Directors were invited to a royal reception at Buckingham Palace with other Queen’s Award winners.

The Queen’s Award For Enterprise For International Trade is given to companies in the UK who have achieved outstanding growth overseas. Over the last three years, our overseas sales have grown by 230%. In 2018, our revenues grew 33.4% globally and international trade now makes up over 49% of Language Insight’s turnover.

Managing Director, Donna Twose, states “I am still amazed and honoured that this award has been given to Language Insight, especially on the run up to our 10th anniversary. It feels like all the hard work we’ve put in over the past 10 years has paid off, and celebrating at Buckingham Palace has been an amazing experience.”

The royal reception at Buckingham Palace took place in the State Apartments, where other Queen’s Award winners from a variety of different sectors gathered to celebrate their success. Surrounded by amazing artwork from the royal collection, it was a great opportunity for Language Insight to chat with other UK businesses, and celebrate their success as well as our own whether that be in innovation, sustainability, social mobility or international trade.

When asked about the highlights of the day, MD Donna Twose stated that as well as getting to chat with other winners, another highlight of the day was when Princess Beatrice and the Duke of Kent arrived and began conversing with the guests. Donna stated that “it was an honour to get to share how Language Insight contribute to international trade and how this is reflected in Language Insight’s year on year growth.”

MD Donna Twose adds “I strongly believe that it is Language Insight’s hard-working, committed employees that have helped us achieve this success, and without them Language Insight wouldn’t be where we are today.

I also feel it’s important to acknowledge every single one of our clients as part of this award. For myself and every team here at Language Insight, you are not just our clients, you are our partners, who we want to go that extra mile for in order to ensure your own performance within your industry is the best it can be. We want to produce the very best quality service we can for you, that’s why we aim to continuously improve our services.

Attending the royal reception at Buckingham Palace was definitely a memorable day for Language Insight, and no doubt for all the other Queen’s Award winners too. We are looking forward to seeing what winning the Queen’s Award will mean for Language Insight’s future as a leading language service provider in both the UK and overseas.
