“Smile, it’s the same in all languages.” It’s true, isn’t it?
Any language barrier can be made a little bit smaller with a smile. Over the past few months there has been a shortage of smiles in the world due to the devastating impact that COVID-19 has had on keyworkers, families, businesses and entire countries. So we’ve been thinking of a way that we can create some smiles whilst raising money for our Charity of the Year, Mind.
We’ve decided to run a campaign called ‘Smile in September’ where we will be asking people to share a photo on social media of something or someone that makes them smile with a reason why, along with the hashtag #smileinseptember. This could be a photo of a loved one, a pet, your favourite place or your favourite TV show or book. Throughout September, we will be re-posting some of your photos onto our social media channels.
At the end of the month, all of the people who have posted a photo with the hashtag will be put into a draw for the chance to win our ‘Happy Hamper’ (worth over £500) which contains 10 amazing prizes. The hamper is made up of:
A Series 5 Apple Watch
An Omnidew water bottle
The little book of happiness, resilience and positivity (3 books)
To enter you need to post a photo on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In or Instagram of something or someone that makes you smile with a reason and #smileinseptember. The winner will be chosen at random on the 30th of September 2020. It is free to enter, however, we would like to ask that (if possible) a donation can be made through our JustGiving page to raise money for Mind. Mind is an amazing charity that supports people who are struggling with mental illnesses. All of the donations that are made through our JustGiving page go directly to Mind and we’d like to thank everyone in advance for any donations that are made.
