Get to know us a little better – here is our story

We are a world‑leading provider of language services including transcription, translation, and interpreting. We started out as Transcription Global, a digital transcription service located in the north of England back in 2009. Our reputation quickly grew within the industry and in 2013 we re‑branded as Language Insight to reflect the full range of language services we now offer to our clients. We provide sector‑specific services to a wide range of industries including security, medical, manufacturing, legal and financial. Trusted by industry leaders across the globe, we provide unparalleled levels of security, quality, and communication to all of our clients.

With established offices in New York, London and headquarters in the north‑west of England, we are internationally accredited to ISO 9001 for our quality management systems and ISO 27001 for our information security management systems. Our future plans include opening an office in Asia and more offices in Europe. We believe that by immersing ourselves directly in the market in which we operate, we can better understand and serve our clients. We know that even in today’s digital era of Skype and email, being able to walk into a Language Insight office and speak to us face‑to‑face helps to build and strengthen our collaboration with you, our partners.


Transcription Global was established in 2009 as a specialist transcription partner. From our head office based in Preston, Lancashire, we developed a wide range of local and international clients. Our stellar reputation quickly grew within the industry.



As our client base grew so did their translation needs and we expanded our service offering to include translation and interpreting. We rebranded to Language Insight allowing us to appeal to a wider audience.



We opened a second office in London, which became the hub for our translation and quality assurance teams. Additionally, this coincided with the launch of our online technical translation services.



After 8 successful years in our Preston office we moved into our larger, custom-built office space in Kirkham, Lancashire. The move enabled us to grow our existing teams and expand into additional departments.



With a growing US client base we opened our New York office in October. Ideally situated on the East Side of Manhattan and within close proximity of our current US clients this office gives us the foundations to expand further within market.


THE QUEEN'S AWARD & ISO 17100:2015

In 2019 we are especially proud of to be honoured with The Queen’s Award For Enterprise For International Trade, along with being accredited to ISO 17100:2015 Translation Services. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2019 will bring as we prepare for our 10th anniversary later this year…
