Get to know us a little better – here is Language Insight’s story

We are a global provider of high-quality language services including transcription, translation, and interpreting. We started out as Transcription Global, a digital transcription service located in the north of England back in 2009. Our reputation quickly grew within the industry and in 2013 we re‑branded as Language Insight to reflect the full range of language services we now offer to our clients. We provide sector‑specific services to a wide range of industries including security, medical, manufacturing, legal and financial. Trusted by industry leaders across the globe, we provide unparalleled levels of security, quality, and communication to all of our clients.


Transcription Global was established in 2009 as a specialist transcription partner. From our head office based in Preston, Lancashire, we developed a wide range of local and international clients. Our stellar reputation quickly grew within the industry.



As our client base grew so did their translation needs and we expanded our service offering to include translation and interpreting. We rebranded to Language Insight allowing us to appeal to a wider audience.



We opened a second office in London, which became the hub for our translation and quality assurance teams. Additionally, this coincided with the launch of Language Insight’s online technical translation services.



After 8 successful years in our Preston office we moved into our larger, custom-built office space in Kirkham, Lancashire. The move enabled us to grow our existing teams and expand into additional departments.



With a growing US client base we opened our New York office in October. Ideally situated on the East Side of Manhattan and within close proximity of our current US clients this office gives us the foundations to expand further within market.


THE QUEEN'S AWARD & ISO 17100:2015

In 2019, we were especially proud to be honoured with The Queen’s Award For Enterprise For International Trade, along with becoming ISO 17100:2015 accredited for our Translation Services Management. 2019 also marked Language Insight’s 10th anniversary!


2020 was an unexpected year for all of us with Covid-19 affecting countries, businesses and individuals worldwide. Language Insight has always had a remote-based working model set up due to the global nature of our work, so we were easily able to adapt to our teams working from home. However, we certainly missed seeing our teams in person and spending time in our offices.

In 2020 we still managed to achieve our targets for international growth and we proud of all of our teams for their hard work despite a very difficult year. We would like to thank all of our key workers for keeping us safe during this time and we hope that 2021 is a brighter year for us all.
